NSF Research Overviews
NSF supports a wide range of science, engineering and education research in nearly every field except medicine, providing grants to fund basic research in fields from astronomy to nanoscience, education, physics, chemistry, and many others.
As part of our redesign of NSF’s website, S2N Media built Research Overviews for each of twelve different areas of research. Our task was to focus on the big questions that each discipline explores. Working with scientists and experts in each field, S2N designed areas to clarify for the general public the goals of these research areas, organizing content in a rich graphic environment and providing an interactive component for each Research Overview to illuminate a particular aspect of scientific investigation.
In addition, links were provided to related areas, and to classroom resources connected to each discipline.
