Marian Koshland Science Museum Website
The Marian Koshland Science Museum features state-of-the-art exhibits that present the complexities of science in an engaging and accessible way to the general public. The museum explores current scientific issues at the core of many of the nation’s public policy decisions, as presented in reports by the National Academies.
S2N Media was selected by the National Academies to create a dynamic web presence for the new museum featuring content from the initial exhibits, unique, engaging interactives, an events calendar, a searchable section for lesson plans, and special sections for the media, museum visitors, and educators. The S2N team created an award-winning site that included Flash interactives on DNA, Global Warming, and the Wonders of Science, a content management system using a combination of off-the-shelf and custom tools, and trained museum staff to build out portions of the content.
The site is section 508 and XHTML compliant, uses Dublin Core metadata, and is consistent with the high standards and scientific accuracy of the National Academies of Science.
